PV5G aims to support the renovation of Trieste’s Old Port, transforming it into a vibrant centre for digital education and innovation, using 5G technology and improving coverage that is currently inadequate for emerging needs.
QTI’s contribution will be dedicated to creating a Quantum Communication Laboratory Integrated with 5G Networks, a research and development facility focused on advancing quantum communication technologies and their integration with 5G infrastructure.
The Consortium, led by Insiel, also comprises TIM, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the University of Trieste.
