QTI at Laser World of Photonics 2025: Quantum Innovation Takes the Spotlight

QTI showcased its vision for the future of quantum cybersecurity at LWP 2025, presenting innovative Quantum Key Distribution solutions.

From June 24th to 27th, QTI took part in Laser World of Photonics 2025 in Munich, the leading European event dedicated to photonics, with an increasingly strong focus on quantum technologies thanks to the World of Quantum section. This year’s edition saw huge attendance: over 1398 exhibitors from around the world and more than 44000 visitors, confirming the event’s role as a true benchmark for the photonics industry.

QTI in the Spotlight with Live QKD Demos

Our presence was solid and impactful: the QTI booth welcomed many visitors, industry experts, institutional representatives, and potential partners interested in seeing our Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) solutions up close. Throughout the exhibition, we showcased a live QKD demo offering a hands-on overview of QTI technology and its real-world applications. We showed QTI and Telsy solutions for quantum-safe networks: the complete QKD system and QKME, our secure key management module. By the QTI-developed platform Q-Share, people stopping by the stand could experience safe and rapid exchange of files of any format, with quantum-level protection.

The great venue was also the chance to launch the new brand product Ekate, QTI’s modular solution capable of incorporating cryptographic material from heterogeneous sources (QKD, PQC, and classical cryptography) to extend quantum-resistant protection.

Laser World of Photonics provided the perfect stage to present the tangible progress of the EQUO project—the EuroQCI industrial consortium led by TIM Group, dedicated to designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge QKD solutions ready for integration into tomorrow’s telecom networks.

The demos attracted great interest, underlining the importance of applied quantum security and the readiness of our technology for field deployment.

The World of Quantum Forum

QTI also joined one of the topical events hosted at the World of Quantum Forum. Major players and stakeholders in the field of quantum-safe networks were invited in an extensive panel on June 26th to discuss relevant updates on quantum technologies, practical applications, interoperability, and the future market outlook. QTI’s CTO Davide Bacco exchanged the latest technological and implementation news from QTI.

The forum sparked insightful discussions and positioned QTI as one of the key players in Europe’s quantum communication landscape.

World of Quantum: A Growing Ecosystem

The World of Quantum area once again proved to be a crucial space for dialogue among start-ups, research institutions, industry leaders, and policy makers. We were impressed by the number and quality of emerging players — a clear sign that the quantum sector is rapidly maturing and that demand for concrete, deployable solutions is growing fast.

Looking Ahead

We sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth and shared curiosity, ideas, and visions for the future of quantum communication.

See you at Laser World of Photonics 2027!
